Geoswath 1 starting work early
January has been a very mild month in comparison to previous years
January has been a very mild month in comparison to previous years – there has been no ice to break this year! Our surveyors were able to do “business as usual”. Early in January our Storm Geoswath I boat went out and surveyed 63km of the River Ouse and 100ft drain in East Anglia. The survey along the centreline is carried out every three months to monitor the movement in the silt. Results are presented as long section drawings with comparisons over laid on the previous visit.
Another project in January took one of our water safety qualified survey teams to the beautiful Snowdonia National Park. The client’s challenge was to design a fish around a small cascade of water under a road bridge at Pont Y Ceunant.
