A team ventured to Lampeter in Ceredigion South West Wales.[nbsp] Interesting fact: Lampeter was the first place to field a Rugby Union team in Wales.[nbsp]
The team worked on river sections and bank levels on the River Teifi, which is a fast flowing spate river. [nbsp]The project was challenging as the velocity of the water was too much to wade in or use a boat. [nbsp]Therefore, weekly monitoring of river levels and weather forecasts were carried out to assess the river conditions and probability of a “safe working” window.[nbsp] Finally river levels remained safe and steady in April for the team to capture the 85 cross sections that were required.
