All George’d up for GeoBusiness’
May is the month of the GeoBusiness show in Islington, London and Storm Geomatics exhibited here again for the 4th consecutive year. The company showcased their GeoRiver software this year with a new stand design and live demonstrations both on the stand and in a live workshop. The live workshop was presented by Mark McCafferty and Toby Moyse – surveyors that use the software on a daily basis to organise geo-referenced river data into high quality hydraulic modelling outputs. The stand and presentations generated a lot of interest in the software and gave existing and potential customers the opportunity to find out more about the powerful functions that GeoRiver performs – furthering the Storm Geomatics mission to reduce flooding across the globe.
As part of GeoBusiness 2018 our marketing team came up with a competition to raise awareness of the software, this came in the form of GeoRiver George. The competition involved using the GeoRiver George cartoon character across social media to promote the stand J2 at the GeoBusiness show with the best post winning a cash prize. Tom Atkinson a surveyor at Storm Geomatics won the prize with a “Where’s GeoRiver George” montage, very cleverly put together with all Storm Geomatics staff featured! Can you spot GeoRiver George in the montage?
