Trainee/Assistant Land Surveyor June 2021 – Shipston on Stour
Storm Geomatics Limited is a specialist survey company that concentrates its resources in surveying for the water engineering business. Our company has built a reputation amongst consulting engineers as being one of the leaders in the capture of geo-referenced data for river and flood plain modeling, still water surveys, environmental surveys, and water based construction. Storm Geomatics are looking to scale up their operations, increase capacity and move into new and previously undiscovered markets.
You will be reporting to a Senior Surveyor and Survey Manager based at our Shipston on Stour office who will give you training on the job which will eventually progress you to surveyor level status. Professional qualifications within the Chartered Institute of Civil Engineering Surveyors are also attainable on a company scheme. The work will give you an opportunity to travel all over the UK and the type of projects you will be involved in are as follows:

The successful applicant would ideally need the following skills and attributes:
- Hardy outdoor type
- Physically fit
- A real team player with aspirations to grow within the company
- Understanding technology and computers
- No previous surveying experience is needed but previous work experience is a must – preferable in an outdoor job such as building, farming or forestry
- Be able to work away from home on weekdays
- Hold a full clean driving licence
- To be based within easy reach of our office in the Warwickshire area
- Be able to speak fluent English
- Be able to swim
- Be able to work on your own initiative
