Your Role: As a Surveyor at Storm Geomatics, you will take on large and complex survey tasks while managing multiple teams. You will oversee the entire project, ensuring it’s ready for QA handover. You will collaborate closely with clients and our survey managers to deliver high-quality survey results that meet clients’ needs and budgets. The role is split 50/50 between field and office work, with excellent opportunities for career growth within our expanding company.

Key Project Areas: River Channel Cross Section Surveys, Still Water Surveys, Near Shore/Coastal Surveys, Setting Out, Topographic Surveys, River Condition Assessments

  • What we are looking for:
  • Complete all survey operations with minimal guidance.
  • Manage large, complex surveys and multiple teams.
  • Innovate and improve processes to increase productivity.
  • Collaborate with clients to define specifications and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Resolve issues and concerns with clients regarding survey tasks.
  • Bring at least 3 years of experience as a Surveyor.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to deadlines and the reputation of Storm Geomatics.
  • Teach and mentor other surveyors and trainees with confidence.
  • Understand the commercial and financial aspects of the business.
  • Assist in maintaining profitable project margins.
  • Lead by example with hard work, dedication, and a positive mindset.
  • Be close to completing or have already achieved MCInstCES or an equivalent qualification.
  • Continually self-learn and expand water-based survey knowledge.
  • Promote Storm Geomatics as the leading surveying company in the UK.
  • You need to be:
  • Physically fit and capable of working in challenging conditions.
  • A true team player with aspirations for career growth within the company.
  • Proficient in technology and computer systems.
  • Willingness to work away from home during weekdays.
  • Hold a full, clean driving licence.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Ability to swim.
  • Independent and self-motivated.
